Palms + Palapas: a Photo Essay of Aruba

My trip to Aruba this past summer was nothing short of incredible. If you missed it, check out my experience at Flamingo Beach – the photos alone are worth the click!

So, instead of writing a bunch of text explaining my trip, I thought a photo essay would be most appropriate given that at every turn Aruba was just stunning. Talk about photo opps! 😍 So, take a peak at my trip below – from behind the lens!Β πŸ“· Enjoy!

My view from the plane as we approached Aruba. To say I was excited is an understatement!
The view from our condo on the top floor at the Riu Palace Antilles (all inclusive!).
Oh yeah, it’s time. 🍹 All inclusive = all you can drink! And they didn’t skimp on the alcohol.Β πŸ˜‰
These umbrellas, known as Palapas, are everywhere in Aruba. I wanted to take one home with me!
What they don’t tell you (at least not really…) is how windy it is on the island! My hair was in my face pretty much 24/7. πŸ˜‚
Mama and me – happy as clams! πŸ€—
The sun setting over the water. How amazing are those sillouettes!?
Snorkel time! There are about a half dozen (maybe more) snorkeling companies to choose from, but we chose The Jolly Pirates. They had a rope swing which was a total bonus and SO worth it!
The colors of the water were just unreal. Probably took about 30 photos of just the open water! πŸ˜‚ I wanted to capture the beauty!

A little Seniorita enjoying the sunset. πŸ˜‰πŸ’ƒπŸŒ‡
The sunset from our room…just stunning.
We came across the cutest little huts just a little way down from our hotel.
Two peas in a pod. πŸ’•
Pool time πŸ‘™Β Every day around the same time, the hotel would host Zumba in the pool. So much fun to watch!
Vodka sodas allll day! 😎 Cheers to that!

Do you think I could get away with having a palm like this in Boston?! πŸ˜‚
Speaking of Boston…I was pretty close. No?! Haha!
Pastel skies over the Caribbean 🌊
As if I needed to feel ANY shorter…πŸ˜‚
Aruba, you are simply stunning. ‘Til next time!
