Two weeks ago, I celebrated my nine year anniversary of living in Boston. Each year I celebrated that as an accomplishment because I moved from a small town, on my own, with no financial help. Plenty of emotional support along the way though – (thanks, Mom!), but since then – I’ve pretty much been on my own.
It wasn’t until about a five years ago that I really started getting into home decor and decorating, rearranging, etc. And when I started my business over a year ago now, I started thinking more about making sure the space that I was using to work out of was the most productive and positive.
A few months ago, I was asked to speak at my very first event post launching CKO PR, and at the event I met one of the most inspiring women that I’ve come across in a while. Her name is Jackelyn Dacanay and she runs THE ART OF FATE – an eco-fashion brand that’s on a mission to create social change.
When I’m leaving the house, no matter what my destination is (the beach, grocery store, dinner…), I’m always wearing two things: earrings and a ring. While I’m much more adventurous with my earrings, I still have my “old faithfuls”.
The weather in Boston has been all over the place lately. I blogged a couple months ago about how excited I was that spring was almost here, and then just days later we got hit with freezing temps once again (spoke too soon, I guess!). Just this past weekend it was 82 one day and 52 the next. Mother Nature – what is up!?
